Over the coming weeks I will be writing about some of the new features that have been included in the next release of the SymVolli, which will have a dramatic impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of a business.
Margin or Markup?
Different companies have different ways of arriving at the sell price, either by Margin or Markup. The system will allow to you use either margin or markup for calculating the sell price. It’s up to you how you work.
Quotation and Product Detail
We now have Quotation Attributes, which are user defined fields associated with the quotation or proposal. This helps in situations where a quotation or proposal relates to a function such as training, a gala evening, conference, etc. You can register all the attendees against the quote or proposal. You still have the ability to set up products and services attributes so that information can be held at the product or service level, e.g. for a product such as a laptop, the make, memory, storage, speed, etc. The user can now record, track and manage information where it should ultimately reside.
Flexible Product Configuration
We have been asked on many occasions to allow for product configurations on the fly to cater for the minor deviations from the norm when dealing with the clients’ requirements. Ad-Hoc Associated Products will allow the user to use an existing product configuration and add to it as and when required to cover the client’s requirements. This makes it easier than having to set up a specific configuration for this client that might never be used again, or adding each of the products as separate items to make up the configuration. It saves time by cutting down on the administrative burden.
Efficient Document Generation
How many times have you wished you could pick Standard Text to use in a quote or proposal? You now have the ability within SymVolli to build a library of sentences that could be used within a quote or proposal. There is no need to go looking for other quotes or proposals you have produced in the past to find standard text. It’s there ready for you to use in the future.
